Hand to hand Stage Combat with Brandon Bruce Study Acting with Neil Brooks Cunningham & Michael Rosner ! Neil has been acting professionally for five decades performing in NY and LA theatre, t.v. and film. Mr. Cunningham will soon be seen with Al Pacino in the HBO production of the Dr. Jack Kevorkian story, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK, directed by Barry Levinson, and also the Iowa Indie film FERTILE GROUND. Mr. Rosner has worked as an actor and director in New York, Los Angeles, and Iowa. Michael most recently directed THE PARKING LOT at the One Act Play Festival held at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Theatre. Michael studied with Academy Award winning actress Joanne Woodward whose training was based on the exercises of Lee Strasberg, Sandy Meisner, and Stella Adler. Mr. Rosner will be moderating the basic/intermediate technique class. Mr. Cunningham will moderate the advanced technique/scene study class. Scene development and character development will be based on exercises as taught at HagenBerghof (HB) Studios, Strasberg Theatre Institute, and The Actors Studio, NYC. "Debunking the myth of The Method will be an aspect of the work we will examine", said Mr. Cunningham. Emphasis will be on the process by which the actor attains the results of creative inspiration rather than a pre-determination of those results in an attempt to deliver a finished performance. Neil has taught at The Strasberg Theatre Institute, coached at Warner Bros. Studios, and conducted workshops in Vancouver and Ottawa, Canada. Mr. Cunningham is a member of the Actors Studio, Ensemble Studio Theatre, SAG, AFTRA, and ACTOR'S EQUITY. Mr. Cunningham has a working relationship with The Iowa Motion Picture Association and Iowa and Minnesota casting directors. Acting teachers, coaches, and casting directors will occasionally be available from New York and Los Angeles for seminars. Central Park Gallery & Studio has been the casting location for HBO, Paramount, and Iowa film productions this past year. Students will always be considered for casting calls/auditions as they occur.
